Pump Jacks Get Past Bombers

Set to the listen to of a James Bond-themed Gold Finger Continually, Brazos Valley Bank Ballpark went gold tonight as the Bombers took on the East Texas Pump Jacks. 300 fortunate fans came home with Golden Foam Fingers as the Pump Jacks came away with a 12-4 crushing in the first game of the two game set.

The Pump Jacks jumped out to a 3-0 get going in the top half of the first inning, but Cliff Vaughn answered pronto back with a three run home run to left field to tie the game back up an inning later. The record stayed knotted up until the fourth inning, when the Pump Jacks took back the broach.

East Texas continued to pour it on, as everyone in their lineup scored except Matt Juengel. The Bombers were qualified to score once in the bottom of the ninth, but the Pump Jacks had already put the game out of reach and came away with a 12-4 winning.
