Rodent population booming in East Mountains

People in the East Mountains say they sensation like they're under attack this summer. They say the rodent population has exploded, and dealing with them feels like a full-in the good old days b simultaneously job.

16-year-old Paul Lambert has lived north of Cedar Crest his unscathed life.

He said until this year, they hardly see any mice. This year, however, Lambert said, "Every day we get at least two mice. We've very likely caught 50 plus this summer."

Diana Schwartz manages the restricted hardware store where everyone comes to buy traps and poisons.

Schwartz said Friday, "There's been an unconventional increase in our rodent control product in probably our last four to five months."

She said even in the hardware store, they've had a can of worms with mice and rats.

"We've disposed of maybe 10 in last ten days, so dialect mayhap one a day,"
