New crossover from Honda

Hot on the heels of Audi's A5 Sportback is a crossover from Honda spotted undergoing durability tests in the US.

Based on the American Harmony - the same one that's sold in Thailand - the sporty five-door hatchback could write out it to production by the year-end, although it will test American waters first before it would be considered for other markets.

Although the policy and 3.5-litre V6 engine is from the Accord, sources indicate that the crossover will bear styling cues of the hydrogen-powered FCX Limpidity, itself being a rakish-looking family car.

This is not the first time the Japanese sort has been envious of the Europeans. Earlier this year in Detroit, Honda unveiled a model of the ZDX with Acura badge to rival BMW's coupe'-cum-SUV X6.
