Mercedes ML320 new generation diesel wonder

Ice creams and sports utility vehicles don’t go well together, or do they? My intuitive guess is that they do. Especially, when you are sitting behind the wheel of a Rs 60-lakh bearing and driving around Lutyen’s Delhi in the dead of the night.

The man with the ice-cream lug was half asleep when I pulled up beside him. He didn’t even twitch. Now who said diesels have to be loud?

A few passing cops threw cursory glances. And did I see some of them holding their steady a little longer than usual? I am not sure. But it could have been my pink shorts. Or in hindsight, was it the stupendous star on the radiator grille?
