Golf cars are dominant in their familiar role of carrying players all over grassy layouts such as Shadowmoss, Charleston Subject and Legend Oaks golf courses. And they don’t seem to have lost much visibility with their stylish conversion to quick and easy transportation on subdivision streets.
But the long-legged lick up, open-sided cars, with roots that date back decades, are fa stiffer competition on streets and drives if not fairways and greens.
So-called “low-tear vehicles” such as Tomberlin, Star, GEM and Fair Way, are picking up province. They can be driven faster than golf cars, can travel on arteries such as Loot Range Road in Mount Pleasant and may be eligible for a federal tax commendation, backers note.
