There should not be coolant in the intake manifold to gap into
the engine ..... find out why and fix that...
I have done alot of like changing motors,trans ,over cases,heads,waterpumps,manifolds,brakes,drumbrakes,axles,bearings and alot of other substance...
Pick up a rebuild handbook for that type of trans, it will show you step by step how to do it. there will be a few tools to buy in order to set differant
