• The agency was investigating allegations of failures of the DSG mechanical on 2008–9 Volkswagen GTIs, R32s, Jettas and Eos models. Investigators said they had 12 complaints of a failure of power while the vehicle was moving. In most cases the problem was corrected after the machine was restarted. There are 15 other complaints of harsh or jerky shifts.
