Metro Detroit will host pro bowlers series

Tom Clark shook the bowling elated when he was with the United States Bowling Congress when he restructured the 2007 women’s U.S. Afford from a one-time television event into a five-week series. It was to a large criticized, but from a television-ratings standpoint, it worked. Clark, who brought his outside-the-box philosophical to the PBA before the 2008-09 season, floated the WSOB concept to a shaft meeting in Seattle in February. It rang a bell with the top banana committee that included commissioner Fred Schreyer, Kirk Von Kruger, John Weber and Cara Frey, who helped sculpt it into something the PBA could go forward with.
