Fan Clutch
Horton two speed fan clutches
Horton has announced the loosing of the DriveMaster Two-Speed Fan Clutches, designed to alternate between twister current and spring actuated cooling for precise, greatly-efficient temperature control and reduced operating sound levels.
When powered by the eddy current, the DriveMaster Two-Hasten Fan Drive turns the fan at a low speed, which is designed to reduce ON/OFF cycling, operating pandemonium, while increasing available horsepower for auxiliary systems, and minimising radiator abrasion from dust and debris, Horton said.
According to Horton, when additional cooling is needed, the DriveMaster Two-Aid spring actuates, and runs the fan at full input speed.
Horton said the DriveMaster’s finical temperature control is well suited for vehicles with little or no ram air.
