Fishing Report - June 29, 2009

About with HOLLOW LAKE - The Fool Hollow Lake Governmental Park is open because of a multi-agency agreement to run the estate. Fishing is fair. The lake level is nearly full and all runabout ramps are accessible. The lake was stocked in June with catchable scope rainbow trout. Anglers have been catching trout, bluegills, and some refined sized bass on lures and night crawlers. Try worms, corn, salmon eggs, and Power Bait, lures such as spinners, spoons, rubber leash head jigs, and Rapala's, and flies such as woolly worms and fuzzy buggers, and semi-seal leeches. Try fishing around uncaring areas, tree stumps and fishing piers. Swarthy crappies, bluegills, and walleyes tend to congregate around the fishing piers during the summer months. Try young crappie jigs, spinners, Rapala's, and night crawlers.
