CBI to get kidney kingpin's details from Canada

The Key Bureau of Investigation (CBI) may soon get full details of Dr Amit Kumar’s holdings, bank accounts, investments and other assets, apart from the include of transplant surgeries conducted by him in Canada.

Following a communication from the investigating force, Canadian authorities wrote to the CBI three days ago (Thursday) no matter what investigations into the illegal kidney transplant scam.

A CBI unite may also go therefore further probe, sources said. “Canada’s reply has revile as hope for more leads into the case,” an official said.

Dr Amit Kumar, who conducted over 500 forbidden kidney transplants in the last decade in India, Canada and a few other countries, had amassed copiousness worth several crores of rupees and had invested the maximum well off in Canada, where his wife and son are settled.
