Seneca's old squad car could be your next taxi

Seneca’s old cop car is heading halfway across the U.S. to a hardened auto sales yard in New York City.

“We gave them the wealth for it Thursday,” said Khamis Mohamed, who runs Bay Arete Motors in Staten Island, one of the burroughs of New York See.

Bay Ridge paid the village of Seneca $1,171 for the administer department’s 2004 Ford Crown Victoria.

The reduced in price on the market was conducted on a competitive bid basis.

The village council sanctioned the presentation Tuesday.

Mohamed is lining up a transport this weekend to yield the car to Staten Island.

“We’ve been in business 19 years,” he said Friday. “We rep used cars to taxicab companies and anyone else who wants one. We buy them across the political entity, and we send them across the nation.”
