250 classic vehicles ready to cruise Washington

If you keenness into Washington Sunday afternoon, don't think you've stepped back in all at once when you spot a line of vintage cars parked along Main Byway someone's cup of tea. The more than 250 vehicles that will be lined up from Walnut to Maiden between noontime and 4 p.m. are part of the Fifth Annual Classics on Main.

"I've been told that we lure more people to downtown Washington than any other event," said Michael McCauley, chairman of the outstanding, sponsored by the nonprofit Covered Bridge Region of the Pass Automobile Club of America.

Visitors to the free episode will spot more than cars in the collection. Tractors motorcycles, stockpile cars and street rods will be on hand.

"You name it, and it's probably there," said Mr. McCauley, of Washington.

Those interested in showing off their vehicles can inventory the day of the event in the tent in front of the county courthouse on Main. Payment to register is $5.
