The 5th Tour State Attorney's Office is still deciding whether to press roughneck charges in the case of the 2-year-old strangled to death by her next of kin's pet python earlier this month in Oxford.
Thursday morning, Allege Attorney Brad King, his chief assistant, Ric Ridgway, and eight other attorneys met at the Land Attorney's Office in Marion County to discuss the protection and the investigation led by the Sumter County Sheriff's Office. But Ridgway said the review only opened up more questions for the Sheriff's Office, the state Bailiwick of Children and Families and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Safeguarding Commission.
"As to when we'll have an answer, I don't know," Ridgway said. He said one could possess c visit as soon as next week.
The individuals who could be facing criminal prosecution are Shaiunna's dam, Jaren Ashley Hare, 23, and the mom's boyfriend, Charles Jason Darnell, 32.
